DIY aluminum docks are ideal for most lakes and shorelines. Lightweight frame with galvanized posts includes everything you need to complete the dock frame: aluminum frame, posts/poles/pipes, bottom plates and hardware. Steel supports provide heavy duty stability and cross bracing. Dock kits can accommodate any wood, composite or metal decking suitable to your requirements. Decking thickness should be within .75" and .98" (19mm and 25mm). We recommend 5/4" x 6" x 16' Cedar Planks for their natural rot resistance. Each dock kit requires quantity 10, 8 foot planks to fully cover the dock surface.
